I'm Drew Knox, (California Insurance License #0F60319) . After being professionally licensed for 19 years in the financial services industry, I discovered that my true passion is helping clients avoid the many pitfalls that are all too common in this space.

 

Unfortunately, life insurance agents are not held to a fiduciary standard to keep the client's best interest above their own—and in my experience, 9 out of 10 policies I review don’t meet the ethical or structural standards I would expect for my own family. That’s simply not acceptable. The reality is, doing what's best for the client is simply not taught to many financial professionals who hold a life insurance license.

I believe in transparent communication, meaningful relationships, client education, and always doing what’s right. My mission is to help families protect their future, leave a lasting legacy, and sleep peacefully knowing their financial foundation is sound.

    My Drive

    I began my career in the financial services industry in 2007, earning my Life and Health Insurance licenses at a Fortune 500 financial firm. From the start, I was drawn to protection-based planning—life insurance, annuities, long-term care, and disability income strategies—because I saw how essential these tools are in building lasting financial security.

     

    In 2008, I obtained my Series 6 and 63 licenses to deepen my understanding of investment and insurance-based planning. But over time, I came to a hard truth: most people weren’t receiving the guidance they truly deserved—especially when it came to understanding the long-term value and flexibility of protection-focused strategies. I also recognized that many of the professionals I worked alongside were not putting their clients' best interests above their own. That never sat well with me.

     

    In 2010, I made a decision to align myself with a company that valued ethics, integrity, and doing the right thing—always. That’s when I joined AAA Automobile Club of Southern California as the sole financial advisor at the Glendora branch. While I appreciated the opportunity to serve clients, I quickly saw the downside of being a captive agent. I was limited to a narrow selection of products, which often didn’t meet the unique needs of my clients—particularly when it came to advanced life insurance strategies, income-generating annuities, and long-term care planning.

    By 2016, I knew it was time to take a stand for the people I serve. I joined LIR Insurance Solutions, based in Placentia, California—a firm built on independence, experience, and the freedom to do what’s right for each client. Here, I’ve been able to expand my planning capabilities and work alongside a team of highly experienced advisors who share my client-first values.

    Whether it’s structuring life insurance with living benefits, designing retirement income with annuities, creating long-term care protection, or reviewing disability income coverage, I take pride in delivering clear, thoughtful strategies that are aligned with each client’s long-term goals.

    Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of helping more than 2,000 clients—many of whom have remained with me for over a decade. They value not only the financial guidance I provide but also the personal care and integrity I bring to every relationship.

     

    Today, I continue to serve with one mission: to ensure that the people I work with have the right protection, at the right time, with the right strategy—so they can move forward with confidence, clarity, and peace of mind.
